Skills for industry – Ignition WORK READINESS PROGRAMME
Rediscover your path to employment success
Join our six-week Ministry of Social Development (MSD) approved work readiness programme, and take the first steps towards re-engaging with employment. Develop soft skills to increase confidence with interviews, setting career pathways, advice on employment issues, health and safety in the workplace, employability skills, and more. Our programme will also support participants with relevant work readiness costs such as – upgrading drivers licenses, work related gear and more.
Duration and study options:
- Full time study (6 weeks)
Entry requirement:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Live in South Auckland
- Currently unemployed
- A New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Residence
- Families impacted by recent Auckland flooding
Teaching style:
Prepare for a new career at our OCA campus:
- On-on-one assistance and mentoring
- Offsite NZQA Trades training
- Arranged work experience
What will I learn?
- Develop the skills and confidence to successfully transition into the building industry
- Get industry-specific Certificates: Site Safe, Construct Safe, Confined Spaces, Wheels Tracks & Rollers, Elevated Work Platform, Traffic Management Certificates etc
- Develop in demand soft skills – punctuality, reliability, and teamwork.
