Current opportunities

Health & Wellbeing Programme Leader

This is a key role responsible for leading programme delivery, supporting tutors, and ensuring strong outcomes for students. You will help shape programme direction, maintain quality standards, and build strong relationships with industry and community partners.

About the role

OCA is looking for an experienced and motivated Programme Leader – Health & Wellbeing to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a key role responsible for leading programme delivery, supporting tutors, and ensuring strong outcomes for students. You will help shape programme direction, maintain quality standards, and build strong relationships with industry and community partners.

What you will do

  • Lead and manage Health & Wellbeing programmes.
  • Support and guide teaching staff.
  • Monitor student progress and programme performance.
  • Ensure NZQA and TEC compliance requirements are met.
  • Teach within the programme as required.
  • Build relationships with schools, industry, and community stakeholders.
  • Support student recruitment and retention.

About you

You will have:

  • A relevant Health & Wellbeing qualification (Level 5 or higher).
  • Workplace experience in the Health & Wellbeing sector.
  • Experience in tutoring, mentoring, or programme delivery.
  • People leadership experience.
  • Good IT skills.
  • A full driver licence.

You will be:

  • Student-focused and approachable.
  • Well organised and proactive.
  • A strong communicator.
  • Comfortable working with young people.
  • Culturally aware, ideally with Pacific community experience.
